Course Description
This course has been developed to bring to your attention those things which must be considered – and indeed employed – to make your bids and proposals get ‘noticed’.
The proposal presentation and writing style should encourage the evaluator to ‘want’ to read more and ultimately, play a part in you gaining that all important contract. By the end of the workshop, participants will have learnt the basic skills that will enable them to write winning proposals. By the end of the course participants will be able to:

- The importance of punctuation
Layout and presentation
- Page layout and typography
- Paragraphs and ‘what story are you telling?’
Writing clearly and concisely
- Using words that are correct, simple, necessary and active
- Understanding and using readability statistics
- Bullet points and parallelism
Projecting a positive image
- Giving solutions not problems
- Using Win Themes
- Presenting facts and figures in an interesting and memorable way
Writing the covering letter
- Structure
- Layout
- Language and style
We will also look at some of the Word tools that are particularly helpful in document writing, including style headings, outline view, document maps, track changes, split screens and table of contents
